Synopsis

Sandra lands in Australia broke, gets sunburnt immediately, and works every job the country will hand a foreigner: the poke counter, the juice bar, the vegan place, a farm. Home is a Nissan X-Trail she converts into a bedroom herself, with plywood and stubbornness. Out the windscreen: sharks, whales, kangaroos, more coastline than seems reasonable.

The jobs blur into one long shift. Somewhere in the repetition the question gets loud: what next, really? The answer comes out unglamorous and correct: go home, get into building software. She does both. You're looking at the result.

What the Critics Say

A film in which the housing crisis is solved with plywood. Oddly moving.
