Cold open, warm ending. The nightlife sequences run long and I have no complaints.
An Erasmus year, in theory about lecture halls. The theory does not survive the first weekend. The days are grey, the nights end when the U-Bahn reopens, and the flat comes with five Italians who teach her more Italian, and much better pasta, than any seminar.
Somewhere in the strobe she meets a version of herself that doesn't exist back home: louder, freer, suspiciously fine on three hours of sleep. She likes this version better. The next four films are about hanging on to it.
